Howard E. Hallman, Jr., Board President
Mr. Hallman founded The Greenlands Reserve in 1998 fulfilling a long-standing passion for protecting open space and fostering a environment. He believes adequate open space is essential to public well-being. Mr. Hallman holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. A registered professional engineer in Colorado for 25 years, his work experience includes twelve years at the Climax Molybdenum Mine near Leadville where his duties included miner, construction engineer, and head of industrial engineering.
Mr. Hallman founded his own environmental consulting firm in 1988, and has since performed environmental assessments
Kristin Dowling, Board Secretary
Miss Dowling brings a unique perspective to the Board.
Her background includes being a member of the U.S. Ski Team and operating a
winery. She is fluent in a number of languages and has lived, worked
and traveled
extensively in Europe. Kristin recently gave birth to her second child and
is studying to become a nurse. Kristin is pictured with her 2 children.
Maury Keller,
Treasurer
Mr. Keller is a CPA
with Williams, Kopenhafer and Keller, P.C. of Colorado Springs. He joined
the board in March, 2007. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, hiking and
ranching as well as rooting for the Colorado Buffs. He is the father of
8-year-old twin boys, Gabe and Garrett, whose flag football team he coaches.
He is also a member of the CO Springs Downtown Lions Club and the Director
of its annual charity golf tournament.
E. Roland Laning, III, Board Member
Mr. Laning is head of Business Banking for U.S. Bank in Colorado Springs and
has significant experience in finance and real estate transactions. He is
also involved in the community, serving on boards of agencies focusing on
affordable housing and early childhood education. Mr. Laning is an active
outdoorsman as a commercial glider pilot and ski instructor. Roland is
pictured with his wife Patty.
Peter Martz, Board Member
With more than 25 years of
experience in land planning and associated fields, Mr. Martz began his
career in San Diego as a urban planner. After moving to Colorado Springs,
he became a consultant for a number of large scale commercial, residential,
and retail projects. Mr. Martz serves on several volunteer boards,
including the Colorado Springs Citizens Transportation Advisory Board.





and studies for a variety of clients, including the Resolution Trust Corporation, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, as well as a number of government entities, banks, corporations and private parties. He has personally completed over 2,000 projects and has significant experience in real estate and property transactions. Mr. Hallman is involved with a number of local groups serving public causes.
